The Atlanta Pops Orchestra recently made the 270 mile trip to perform in Muscle Shoals, Alabama on April 7. The concert was presented by Shoals On Stage and was held at the Norton Auditorium on the campus of the University of North Alabama. The program, entitled “Isn’t It Romantic,” consisted of timeless favorites spanning several decades of the Atlanta Pops repertoire – from Emmanuel Chabrier’s “Marche Joyeuse,” George Gershwin’s “Embraceable You” and Kern & Hammerstein’s “All The Things You Are” to selections from Andrew Lloyed Webber’s “Phantom of the Opera”, John Barry’s “Somewhere in Time” and Ronan Hardiman’s “Lord of the Dance.”
